About the Book Club

PAWA's Book Club is a space for readers to connect through stories — especially those that reflect Palestinian and Arab American voices, history, and experiences. It's less about finishing books quickly and more about coming together to talk, reflect, and see our stories represented on the page.

How It Works

We select a book together (fiction, memoir, or nonfiction) and meet regularly to discuss it — no pressure to have finished the whole thing, just come as you are. Meetings are casual, conversation-driven, and open to all reading levels and paces.

Why It Matters

Books are one of the most powerful ways to preserve and share culture, memory, and identity. Reading and discussing stories together — especially ones tied to our heritage — helps keep those narratives alive and creates space for connection across generations.
